Today at Royal Ascot: Australia’s Joliestar leads raiders in Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes

Royal Ascot concludes with a star-studded day, headlined by the Group One Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, all live on Your Site Racing.

The feature event on the final day of the Royal meeting sees Australian sprinters Joliestar and Overpass headline a field of 19 in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes.

Overpass was all the rage for Tuesday's King Charles III Stakes and ran a cracker to finish third. He will be popular as he makes a quick reappearance on this step up to six furlongs.

Joliestar, a top-level scorer on her last two outings, arrives here in great spirits and has been the pre-race favourite for this for some time. James McDonald takes the ride, and she may prove a class apart as she breaks from stall nine.

Last year's runner-up Satono Reve heads a long list of dangers for Japan. He chased home Lazzat on that occasion and showed he arrives at the top of his game when second to Ka Ying Rising in Sha Tin.

Others to note include Andre Fabre's Sajir, Flora Of Bermuda and Lake Forest.

Kalpana, Jan Brueghel, and Goliath clash in a stellar renewal of the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes.

Andrew Balding's star filly Kalpana is dual British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes hero and warmed up for this with a narrow success at Newbury. She will likely take a step forward and should go close at a track she enjoys.

Goliath took the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes over this course and distance in 2024 and bounced back to form when comfortably winning a Group Two at Chantilly last month. That form entitles him to be in the mix under Christophe Soumillon.

Aidan O'Brien holds a strong hand as he saddles Jan Brueghel and Lambourn. The pair filled the places behind Bay City Roller in the Coronation Cup and should appreciate these better conditions.

Double Rush and Binhareer headline 28 runners for a typically competitive calvary charge in the Wokingham Stakes.

Andrew Balding's Double Rush has looked a Group horse when winning both his starts this season and will have to defy a 10lb penalty under Shane Foley. He has bags of potential and has a good draw in stall 24.

Binhareer will be popular for William Haggas and Tom Marquand. He finished a slightly unlucky second in a strong York handicap on his last outing and with that effort worth upgrading he makes the shortlist from stall 22.

Ten Pounds caught the eye when runner-up in a Listed heat at Carlisle, while Realign impressed at the same venue and could have a say granted further improvement.
